Amanda Brugel
(February 27 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a sleepy community on the part of Montreal that is known as the West Island. People who don't understand about the place mistakenly think that it is the West Island extends westward from Montreal. It is actually the West Island includes everything westward of the city of Lachine. Amanda Brugel was born there, but her time in the city wasn't long. Brugel became a woman of a certain age in Courtice Ontario, outside Oshawa. The first goal she had was to become an expert dancer. Then, a growth spurt caused her to outgrow her dance partners she had. In an article from the Toronto Star she admitted In heels, I'm 6'1 inch. When I surpassed any male partner then I slowed down. Many ex-dancers switch to acting. In the case of Brugel it was because of the advice of her drama teacher in high school who pushed her to take the step she wanted. The teacher suggested she try to find a role in the school's annual show. The teacher who suggested she go after a role in the school's annual show. She was given the Fine Arts Talent Scholarship to take part in York University's Theater Program and graduated from the program in 2000, earning a bachelor's degree in Fine Arts. In the past 20 years, her work has been seen on both the small and big screen. The most notable was her attention when she won her role as Rita on the award-winning TV show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel was the character Rita in The Handmaid's Tale which was produced over the course of ten years.
